Title: Question about SATA

Will SME 6 or 6.1 load and run on a server with SATA drives?

Simple install?  A kernel recompile? Or would I be better off going with the "Old Style" IDE drives.

Nope - at least it didn't work for me until 6,5 or 7.0a*
A newer kernel on a custom built installation cd should do the trick, though.
