Hi, I have a HP Laserjet hooked up to a HP Jetdirect. I can print in Linux but the windows machines cannot. I can see the printer in the "network neighbourhood". Any Sugestions???
Message to Charlie: Thanks, your patience and knowledge is greatly appreciated. I am almost at the point where I can retire my Novell Server.

At the moment, your printing problem is purely between the
windows machines and the printer, and it has nothing to do with
the e-smith server.
However, you might like to print only from the server, since that is working. The 4.0 release of the e-smith server will include printer support. But it's not ready yet. Your best bet might be to visit http://e-smith.gormand.com.au/ and install the
e-smith and LPRng RPMs from there. That will allow you to set up
printer spooling via the server.
And I promise there will be a smooth upgrade path to e-smith 4.0 when it comes :-) [Check e-smith.gormand.com.au when the time comes, in case any special instructions are needed.

Can you write more about exactly what the error is? The printing code in e-smith 4.0 is fully implemented, so if it's not working properly then you have found a bug.
When you print from the Windows machine, is that when the error shows up, or is there no error - but no output either?
