HI!
I would appreciate help/guidance in the following: I currently have 1 mail server dedicated to internet email. I wish to introduce a 2nd server based on e-smith to handle internal mail only. How do i configure the e-smith to only deliver the mail to users on itself, and, not attempt to send the other mail to the "real world".
eg - mail server 1 all internet services
- mail server 2 "blind to the world" - local only
If this is not clear please let me know and i will try and elaborate
Many thanks in advance

Hi enigma,
You could try configuring this way :
1. Set up all clients to use the e-smith as the mail server.
2. Create the necessary accounts on the e-smith server for the users
3. Under other e-mail settings of the e-smith manager, set the internet provider's SMTP server to your primary internet mail server.
Another thought that just crossed my mind. I seem to remember you could specify during configuration that the server is a "server only - no internet access". Perhaps that might accomplish what you want although how you would configure your e-mail clients is another story.
If this isn't what you're after, sorry. Perhaps post more info ?

Thanks Kelvin :)
If i set the e-smith as a server only and no internet connection (making sure that the ip address is static) it seems to do the trick
Thanks again
