Title: Jespers Spamassassin web panel error
Post by: dmofesi on June 16, 2005, 08:27:21 PM
I can't get settings to save when making changes to spam filter using the control panel.   :-(   I'm running SME6.5RC1 and just completed the latest install.sh that was posted.  Below is the tail of the error log

[Thu Jun 16 13:27:23 2005] spamfilter: Use of uninitialized value in string at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/esmith/cgi.pm line 291.
[Thu Jun 16 13:27:43 2005] spamfilter: ERROR: You cannot set a config record without a type.
[Thu Jun 16 13:27:43 2005] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] malformed header from script. Bad header=</pre>: /etc/e-smith/web/panels/manager/cgi-bin/spamfilter

Did you use the correct script, the one you want is spamfilter_installbeta.sh ?

From
http://sme.swerts-knudsen.com/index.html?frame=http%3A//sme.swerts-knudsen.com/howtos/howto_29.htm

For 6.0.x
[root@e-smith]# wget -N http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/downloads/SpamFilter/spamfilter_install.sh

For SME 6.5RC1 use:
[root@e-smith]# wget -N http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/downloads/SpamFilter/spamfilter_installbeta.sh

Thanks for the response; yes I used the spamfilter_installbeta.sh.  After I couldn't get the problem to go away I tried installing it with --force....    sigh  But, on the bright side, it's night time here, therefore, BEERTIME!  This being said; I will be better able to deal with tomorrow when you are sleeping!

Try a different browser. I have the same trouble with Opera or Firefox, but not with IE.

It doesn't appear to be a browser problem; I just went back to the console and used the built in text browser and it returned the same error.  Can anyone tell me which .conf file I should hand edit?
