There are some more contribs, I wish to add to the SME 6.01 plus script:
rpm -ivh joe*.rpm (Texteditor with Wordstar-like commands)
rpm -Uvh e-smith-advworkgroup*.rpm (many Advanced workgroup settings for Samba, to turn off oplock support and many more)
rpm -ivh e-smith-phpsysinfo*.rpm (last available RPM for phpsysinfo, though newer version of phpsysinfo exist)
echo SME Server 6.0.1-01 >/etc/redhat-release (to get rid of "N/A" in Distro Name. This is fixed in the newest phpsysinfo version)
rpm -ivh e-smith-power*.rpm (Power Management for SME, so that you can shutdown the SME Server with the power button (may require additional BIOS settings))
rpm -ivh smeserver-qmHandle*.rpm (displays different mail queues in the web panel "Qmail Queue management")

Stefan, it would be very handy if you would join the 7.0 development efforts. The less inconsistencies and untested combinations there are between your 6.0.1 based development work and 7.0 the better.

For example: testing upgrading from SME6 with the update script applied to SME7 and reporting any problems (and solutions).

Great suggestions!
i would include:
-squid cache manager
-possibly backup2ws
it would be awesome if virus blocking & spam blocking could be included
FYI -careful of the advworkgroup as it has caused some trouble.

Clamav & spamassassin are included by default in sme 7 as well as executable content (virus) message rejection, also qpsmtpd which has lots of nice email related features.
If you have not yet looked (ie downloaded and tested sme7.0alpha20, then you should, as it's looking quite good and will give you an indication on how the final product is likely to look & function.
Get iso from here:
