Title: SATA installation SIS 964 chipset
Post by: mike_mattos on June 22, 2005, 10:58:02 PM
Is there any documentation on installing SME 6 or 7 on an SIS 964 sata system?  I have read that this is supported by libata since last year, but don't know how to relate to my installation CD's (they don't recognize the SATA drives).

thx

SME 6.X does not work with sata.  SME 7 alpha 21 is based on CentOS 4.X and should support sata.
Note that SME 7 is still alpha and should not be used in production environments.
