Title: Looking for app to alert when new device is on network

I run a network with serveral remote sales offices connected via VPN routers. I would like to be alerted when a new device is attached to the network.  

Can anyone suggest a app?

In a windows environment, I use Look at Lan, a freeware app that runs in the background. It is basically an ip range scanner. Do a google for it and you should find it.

Thanks, but I was hoping to find something I could run on the SME server.
