Title: Limiting time for http access for a certain user?
Post by: jumba on June 24, 2005, 10:45:30 PM
I'm looking for a way to LIMIT the daily http access time for each user.

Something like dansguardian or so, where the user needs to login in order to gain access through the squid proxy, and some function for setting a time limit per day or so, so when the user hits his daily limit the access is no longer there...

Simply an "internet quota" for my 15 years old daugher :-x  ...

Anyone?

I've not tried this with SME, I know that IPCop & Smoothwall has a solution for this

Hope it helps...

Squid allows access control set by time of day, and days of week, by user or ip address, and probably other things too.  I'm not sure about daily duration. (I don't know the syntax, I recall it's simple)
