Title: mysqld prossor usage
Post by: sage on November 06, 2001, 02:27:39 AM
What % of the cpu is mysqld using for you?  At the moment I have no users and nothing running that I know of but mysqld is using 97% of the processor and I can not get into webmail, it times out.  Is this normal?

you can check by typing top at command prompt

Hi,

So you are not 100% sure that it is MySQL ? In that case, check what's going on in your CRON daemon...

My experience has learned me that the CRON can be very active with ALL kinds of consuming processes u don't have to be aware of.

I rebooted the box (my winnt side talking over.) and then httpd would not start.  I rebooted again and everything is running fine.  I have no idea what caused this problem, but there went my nice 10 day uptime :(  So now mysqld is happily running at 0 processor usage
