Which of the RBBL's are the best to use? I entered all of the free RBBL's and was unable to send from my LAN until I removed quite a few of the.
I would like to put as many RBBL's in the server configuration as possible without hindering REAL email.

I suspect the answer will vary depending on the sources of your spam, but the following list works well for me & my clients.
bl.spamcop.net
combined.njabl.org
dnsbl.sorbs.net
list.dsbl.org
relays.ordb.org
sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org
whois.rfc-ignorant.org

> I suspect the answer will vary depending on the sources of your spam...
Not just the sources of spam, but the sources of your REAL email.
The bl.spamcop.net list will block real email coming from popular well known free providors, so if you want to get mail from those sources don't use that list.
I'm using
sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org (which I think is essential for everyone to use and the list to use if you only want to use one list)
relays.ordb.org
dnsbl.sorbs.net
whois.rfc-ignorant.org
See the HOWTO for tips

I use all 10 on the "conservative" list from Ray's how-to without any problems. Spam has gone from 50 per day to near zero.
Good Luck
