Has anybody installed netcat (http://netcat.sourceforge.net/) on SME 6.0.1 ?

Hi William,

The best advice i can give you is:

To download the dev files needed to compile stuff (cause i have not seen myself this going though the forum) and compile it for Red Hat linux 7.3, or search rpmfind for the program in the format of RHL 7.3.

Yes. There's an RPM on the download page of the site you linked to, or search rpmfind.net and plenty of other places. You need a RedHat 7.3 version.

My first search for Netcat lead me to Cryptcat which I installed but didn't do what I wanted.

Then realise I might get a better result searching for nc, and thus it was found. (http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/redhat/7.3/i386/nc-1.10-11.i386.html)
