Hi,
I'm testing my new installation of SME 6.5RC1. Some time this month i will put it in production but before that may i have comments/suggestions to some of my questions below.
1. I will put the SME box in DMZ, is it ok to give it a routable address (security)?
2. What is the port to access the server-manager?
3. Lastly, anybody here installed a Content Management Software (like mambo) in SME. I'm planning to install php-fusion.
Thanks for the answers in advance.

1. Yes. The external interface of SME can look out for itself in the big bad world.
2. Use a regular browser connection. Machines on the lan use http, any machines you specify on the internet use https.
3. Yes, I have mambo running on 6.5rc1. No problems.

question2: what i mean is, can i access the server-manager from outside. If there's port forwarding, which port to open.
question3: How did you install mambo, just followed the installation guide or need to do tweaking?
Thanks David

Q2. You can access the server-manager from designated external ips. I think many folk here put the SME external interface directly on the internet without having an additional firewall and its associated port forwarding rules. But if you want to firewall & port-forward, then I suppose this may help.

Q3. Mambo install http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=25526.msg103286#msg103286
