Do any versions of e-smith support SATA drives?

Hi there,

From what I have heard, version 7 does.

Jepp, I installed SME 7 Alpha 22 on a S-ATA RAID Controller and on a Intel SCSI RAID controller.

Since SME 7 is based on CentOS 4, you can expect, that most modern disk controllers are supported (in opposite to SME 6.0x and 6.5, which are based on RedHat 7.3)

But SME 7 is not yet ready for production servers.

I'm running SME 6.5RC1 with a 3ware SATA RAID controller. All 3ware RAID controllers use the same driver, as they're hardware RAID and just talk SCSI to the system.

I think some SATA controllers are supported by 6.5RC1, but I'm not sure which ones.
