Title: E-smith 4 and Dial-in Configuration

I have been running the pre-beta of version 4 and I like it very much. I know E-smith server is intended to be set up for picking up mail from an ISP by dial-up but I would like to use the server for remote access to our network. How can I configure it for Dail-in access?

In my view what makes e-smith special is the fact that it is lean and mean. Its design is to provide basic server services to its users. If it is continuously loaded up with new services it will eventually begin to suffer from the woes of NT. Too much capability for too many users. :-)  Ending in too much overhead to support features that are seldom used by the very few.

Read over the documentation on http://www.e-smith.org/custom/
for advice on making changes to the e-smith server. The rest of the information you need will be found in man pages and HOWTOs from the Linux Documentation Project.

There are currently no plans to support dial-in on the standard e-smith server and gateway, so E-smith can't really help you further. If you need help, consult you local Linux guru.
