Post by: Blitz on July 13, 2005, 07:44:49 PM
Is it possible to change the MTU setting for a PPPoE connection?

You'll need to create a custom template fragment for /var/service/pppoe/pppoe.pppd.conf.

Why do you want to change the MTU setting of the connection? If you have a problem, you should report it to the bug tracker.

I need to change the MTU setting to 1352, for the broadband connection that we use is extremely slow to sites with a lot of active content.

Do you perhaps have an example of the template conf file, and where to tweak it.

Thanks!

I doubt that changing the MTU will make a noticeable difference.

Have a look at /etc/e-smith/templates/var/service/pppoe/pppoe.pppd.conf/mtu and read on this site about custom templates and expand-template.
