Title: what is the best way to backup?

I had a perfectly working sme 6.6 gateway & server.

Just tried to install openVPN by following the sme HOWTO and now the server is unreachable from any direction.

Looks like I will have to start from scratch again.

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE: Is it possible to backup the complete server and restore it so that I don't have to start from scratch again?
What software would I need for this?

I use norton ghost to a second hard disk.
