Hello
Is it possible to use the CDROM on the esmith server as a shared resource via the network?
If so, what is the least painful way of achieving this?
(I have already got ibays set up sharing part of my hard drive.)
Thanks in advance

The rpm (e-smith-sharedcdrom-0.1-1.noarch.rpm) by Danielvan Raay is located in the Contribution section at this site. A search under contributed rpms will locate it.
I haven't tried it yet, but a colleague of mine has and says that it works fine - once you have re-run esmith config!

or, type at the console prompt:
/sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/smb.conf
This will do the trick too instead of doing a complete re-config.
And yes it's working just fine.
