Title: Asterisk@Home in SME 7
Post by: jacomms on July 19, 2005, 04:04:49 PM
Has anyone played with asterisk@home??
Its a CENTOS install from CVS .... anyone interested in  a SME version of this cute package???

I have had no problems with  Zaptel drivers etc... and it runs AMP also ....have a look ....

SME7 would be the ideal mate for it!!!

That sounds very interesting. But what about securety, isn't there someting about that AMP makes it vulnerable?

Sounds verry interesting to me too! I am playing around with Asterisk on SME7 as well, but A@H on SME7 would be even more interesting if it is secure though.

Yes security is the issue, there was a long thread about this, something to do with it requiring root access on the web side.

Look here for the AMP howto.  It discusses the issues in some detail.

Watch this space... We will have an rpm for you in about three to four weeks. Not AMP.  Something else.
