Hi,
How can I tell what is causing a long log out time for one of my users?
I'm not sure what files are copied as they change them, and which are held copied once at login and back again at logout.
edit : I notice their 'NetHood' folder is pretty big, at 2.8GB. I know that contains some network neighbourhood 'links' but his seems to have other stuff too. It goes something like :
NetHood/shared-files/target.lnk
NetHood/shared-files/Desktop.ini
NetHood/shared-files/someFolder/someDoc.doc
" / " / " /etc etc etc
There's even some VIDEO_TS folders!
Are these copied each time?
Max.

That's a really good question. It takes me a long time to log out as well..

If you have roaming profiles enabled, the 'NetHood' should also be uploaded to the server at logoff.
Have a look in /home/e-smith/files/samba/profiles/'username' to see how big that user profile is.
