Title: QMail from - to issues
Post by: sup308 on July 23, 2005, 09:07:34 AM
This is probably a regurgitated question so flame if it is,  :-)  but I have some issues with QMail. Accepting Email from someone@somewhere.com where that user does not exist on the remote system is one of them, correcting this will stop most spam I think. I know that you can patch your SME server to handle double bounced messages but it still does not stop other issues like processing junk that’s not needed and accepting large files that chew bandwidth.

Another problem I can’t get around due to noobieness with Qmail is accepting an email first then seeing if the local user exists, is there a way of fixing this so the server has a quick look first to see if there is a user by that name. If anyone know a trick or two to solve little issues like this and has some time to note them down I really appreciate it. :-D
