Title: parental controls??
Post by: bbarrons on July 25, 2005, 03:27:17 AM
If I setup the sme server as a gateway is there any software that I can install that would provide some filtering or parental controls? I setup a sme just for home use, email and web service and for testing. So far all has worked well. I use a linksys router now befsx41 that has some filtering but that has never really worked. With the latest version of firmware for it it will lockup and reboot when the controls are enabled. I would like to yank the router right out of the setup. Does anyone have any suggestions???
thanks
Bill

definately use dansguardian.

you can set it up to only let certain users or groups through, scan ALL incoming content for virus, filter for content, filter content by age level for each user, etc, etc.

for e-smith rpm, go to http://www.dungog.net/sme/files/dansguardian/
