Title: How to disable bounce messages
Post by: bauser on July 28, 2005, 05:42:35 PM
Hi, I´m trying to disable bounce messages. I don´t want qmail to send them, because it waste a lot of time and resources in doing that, and I think it´s worthless to do it, because a 99% of this kind of these messages are spam. I can´t disable it, I´ve reviewed all configuration files and the console and I wasn´t able to find where to do that.
I have a mitel SME server ver. 5.6 with spamassasin and AVmailgate.

I´m having a lot of trouble with this thing.

You might also want to implement other tweaks that reject various types of messages (including viruses) completely, I'd start with the mailblocking contrib and go from there, see

Oh I see you are still running 5.6, for a lot of recent contribs & tweaks mentioned you will need v6.x as a minimum.
That 5.6 server is likely to be insecure if you are using it as a gateway and have external services turned on, better to upgrade.
