Title: nvnet driver
Post by: steveo on July 31, 2005, 07:41:58 AM
Hi all, have just installed SME 6.0 on a machine with an intigrated nVidia Corporation nForce Lan card. It had Xandros installed and it reported the lan card as follows:

NSW Adapter = nVidia Corporation|nForce LAN
Driver = nvnet
PCI = 0x10DE,0x66,0x20

The installation does not have an nvnet driver, is there anyway I can install the nvnet driver and get LAN interface working?

Thanks for any help on this.

Yes.

Download the driver from nvidia.
Install the Dev tools package.
Build the driver.

Of course - you will need to use a cd to copy the files across.

Or

Install a "Known" brand nic.

SMEServer 7.0 supports nvidia nics via the forcedeth driver.
