Title: SME 6.0 Email issues
Post by: mrothe on August 04, 2005, 08:54:06 AM
Hello,

I am attempting to set up my server to allow remote users to send and recieve emails via my server.
I have no problem recieving emails but when I try to send I get an error.  I can send emails via web mail and send emails from machines on my lan but not from machines over the internet.  Under the server manager page I have opened up all access options to allow entire internet connections/passwords in the remote access panel, but still no success.  Could this problem be a result of my ISP blocking port 25? and if so could I use a ssh connection to change the port or even better change the port the the server(Qmail I believe) to listen for clients sending emails from remote networks?
