Title: help me .. urgent ... about mysql server

Hi all my friends ...

sorry for have been long time no online. i've busiest time .. huh..

i need a help about mysql server. i just upgrade mysql from 4.0.22 to 4.1.13 .. it works but unfortunately a few days before ... it can't works anymore ...

it show this error ...
1. if i log in by url : https://192.168.10.1/phpmyadmin
   cannot load mysql extension,
   please check PHP Configuration.


2. if i log in by mysql administrator it shows:

   Error No: 1043
   Bad Handshake

3. if in shell command i execute service mysqld start it show like this
   /etc/init.d/mysqld: my_print_defaults: command not found
 ERROR! Can't execute /usr/bin/mysqld_safe

...

how can i solve this problem ... how can i reinstall back mysql server and back normal.

please help me .. i dont want to format my server. a lots of thing is there ...

Hi there!

Need some more information...

1 - How did you upgraded?

2 - What's the result if you run?
#/etc/init.d/mysql restart

and

# ps -efa|grep mysqld

and also

# rpm -qa|grep MySQL

hii and thanx for reply ...

actually i upgrade based on 4.0 script. then that problem occurs.

after a couple of hours i post the topic i found a script to upgrade at http://ergin.dyndns.org/download/MySQL-4_1_13.sh
then mysql server is up again.

now for your question

here when i execute this command


[root@freshnux root]# /etc/init.d/mysql restart
Shutting down MySQL SUCCESS!
Starting MySQL SUCCESS!
[root@freshnux root]# ps -efa|grep mysqld
root      3611     1  0 23:43 pts/0    00:00:00 /bin/sh /usr/bin/mysqld_safe --d
mysql     3647  3611  0 23:43 pts/0    00:00:00 /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/ --d
mysql     3649  3647  0 23:43 pts/0    00:00:00 /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/ --d
mysql     3650  3649  0 23:43 pts/0    00:00:00 /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/ --d
root      3653  3463  0 23:43 pts/0    00:00:00 grep mysqld
[root@freshnux root]# rpm -qa|grep MySQL
MySQL-devel-4.1.13-0
perl-DBD-MySQL-1.2219-6
MySQL-client-4.1.13-0
MySQL-server-4.1.13-0
MySQL-shared-compat-4.1.13-0


but now, i just got a little bit problem that i can't connect to my smeserver from my local lan. it show error
  1043
  Hand Handshake

is there any solution can help me.
