Hi,
I wanted to ask everyone what sort of spec I need for running 3 or more domains and webmail although not very heavily.
Ive got a p2 400 with 256mb or a dual p3 550 with 512 or a celly 700 with 256.
I need it to be reliable and fast but I dnt want to waste a box on it if I don't need to.

The P2 400 will do the job although server manager access and changing config will be slow. More RAM would be better (512Mb). The Celeron 700 would be a better all round machine but you may not see much performance difference unless you have heavier loads.
If you use a lot of webmail you will get better performance from the faster processor.

I was recently still running a P133 with 90Mb RAM but usage was very light. I "upgraded" it to P333 with 256Mb with light duty and it runs fine.

IMHO the star of the show there is the dual PIII w/512 megs.  That would make a *superb* SME server.  Add a couple of fast hard drives with 8 MB cache or more, put 'em on separate IDE channels, disconnect the CD-ROM after initial setup and let 'er rip with SMP and RAID-1.

Thanks guys, I will give the P2 400 but does SME work well with dual processors? Will it know to use both?

SME works well with Dual Processors. Just rememeber when your starting up select "SME SMP" (instead of SME UP) on the splash screen (select it once and it will always be selected).

I'm running a Dual P3 1.2ghz.

Stands for Symmetric multiprocessing.

if you're on default v6.0, i would upgrade the kernel as well.

you set the default for the smp in /etc/lilo.conf
