Title: compatible tape backup drives
Post by: kabalvr6 on August 16, 2005, 05:08:50 PM
Was having trouble getting scsi tape drives to work. Im running 6.1, i tried a certance dat5 model cd72lwh-ss and an older sony dat 4 model. The PC see's the scsi card and the drive, but linux just the card. It is an adaptec 29160 card. I am now going to try a plain travan IDE 40gig. I am using the service link edition of the software and Mitel's tech support can't give me a positive answer on what drive will work. They said if its on the redhat enterprise 3 HCL "it should work" but they can't make any garauntees. Any advice would help, I am a newcomer to the world of SME. Thanks in advance
