How hard would it be to change the ip address of the server? Also how can I get the dns server to work as a public server and add my own entries like MX and alias?

Easy. Login as admin on the console and choose the "configure" option.
Also how can I get the dns server to work as a public server and add my own entries like MX and alias?
I'd strongly advise you not to try to do that. DNS should only be managed by people who understand the issues and know what they are doing. There are good free or inexpensive DNS services - use one of those.

Sorry, forgot about the console setup. As far as dns what problems are there with tinydns and being public? Is it that unsecure? Would I be better off diabling tinydns and installing BIND? I need to have multiple mx records for my domains and also be able to have secondaries.

It's not insecure at all.

You're kidding, right?

There are plenty of perfectly good DNS services availability. As I said earlier, I don't believe anyone should run public DNS services unless they know what they are doing.

Can someone give me technical instruction, not guidance? I want to host dns on sme server, I need to add Aliases and MX records.
Thanks
