Title: Perl Script no Work-E
Post by: Doug Ardans on November 17, 2001, 11:04:13 AM
I want to use some really cool Perl scripts but because I don't have the DBI::Perl modules so I can't use them.

I can give you the errors I get and the link to the modules.

but I wish one of the contributers would create some RPM's that would install these DBI's into Apache.

Error(just a caution error in the installation.pl)

Well I don't have the error any more but I got the link..

This is a link to the site. -->  http://dbi.symbolstone.org/

go to the middle and the one titled "DBI"

if you click on "DBI" it will take you to the install.

if you want to download the file click on the link that says "download" just to the right of it.

please help me out if you can.

Thanks.

I don't know what to do with the source? do I just

rpm -ivh DBI-1.13-1.src.rpm

I am not to sure what to do with source RPMS or what they do. I know that they also include the source files so you can compile them yourself or something like that.

try
http://www.e-smith.org/content/howto/e-smith-interface_rpm.html

to see inside the .src.rpm
and then copy the contents to a likely place

Doug ,
did you end up getting the formamil script to work? I am having trouble with the same script? If so what did you do? I am not receiving any error message. The page just sits there.
