Hi,
I'm new to SME. I've successfully installed SME 7b1 and have some questions about i-bay:
1. How is i-bay quota calculated?
2. The server is running in server-only mode. I cannot see it in Windows' "My Network Places". Is the i-bay's group similar to Windows' group?
3. Can I install some php scripts, such as a forum, in i-bay's html?
Thank you :-D

I will take a stab at your questions.
1. I do not beleive quotas are per ibay, I think they are by user.
2. The group an ibay is assigned to is the same as a share assigned to a windows group. ( think of the server as a windows server)
3. In SME 6.xx you can install the php scripts you are refering to, but remember you are running a beta version of 7, and everything may not be functional yet. I would do a little searching on that subject.
There is a wiki page started on contribs tht are known to or not to work.

Thank you crazybob :)
1. So, for example, an i-bay members can kill the server by uploading tens of dvd iso images?!
2. I'm still unable to see i-bay in my network neighborhood :-(
3. Since that PHP feature is available in ver 6.xx, then I'm sure it is in ver 7 as well. It is a very useful one.

1. I guess they could. How many users do you have in mind, and how big is the HD? I would place quotas on the users at a reasonable number to let them store their stuff, but keep the ISO's out.
2. What os are you using? can you ping the server? have you tried to access it via "run \\serverip"? Does the server show up at all in explorer?
3. I am also sure PHP is available, and usable but I am not sure which version (you need to check). I would search and see if the program you want to use has been installed on SME before, and try it using the how-to if available. Then report it on the wiki page for contribs that work, or dont work.

1. Strange! I think someone should take care of this.
2. Ok, I can see the server now :)
3. I'll try and update in here.
