Title: user-password, passwords are too complicated
Post by: Carl50mq on September 03, 2005, 11:35:52 PM
Good morning,

Is it possible to change the politik of passwords in SME Server 7b2 ?
I find it too hard, the password must have:
_alphanumerical characters
_non alphanumerical characters
_and a lot different characters
Title: just do this

remember that SME7 is in beta state only....
Apart from testing, you should not use it for anything.

On the command line do:
/sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop passwordstrength Users none

/sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop passwordstrength Admin none

/sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop passwordstrength Ibays none
Admin=strong
Ibays=strong
Users=none
Users=some
Use with care
in one line
