Title: recreat deleted user name. help......

Hi, Can anyone help me.
I try to creat a deleted user name. and I got "Error:  
the  account  "dianne" can't be created because there is already a user-deleted"

How can I recreat that user back...

Please help....

Please help....

You need to find out why the deletion of the user "dianne" failed mid-way through. Search through your /var/log/messages.* files for "|Status|".

I did use the control pannel and deleted the user "dianne" a while ago.

but now I want to creat that name. I searched /var/log/messages. I don't how to look it.

What was wrong and how did you fix it? If you post that information here, you might be able to help somebody else.

To answer your earlier question, you use the "view log files" panel in the manager to view log files.

To delete correctly a user account, you must do a:
/sbin/e-smith/db accounts delete ACCOUNT

Now, you can recreate th same user account...
