Title: Open-Xchange in 6.0X working
Post by: jmvelez on September 10, 2005, 03:24:37 PM
Vicent in his site e-smith.dyndns.org has all the files needed to install Open-Xchange current version in SMEserver.  The users have to be created on command line one by one which is a pain.

Great work!  It installed really cleanly. However it is a pain that there is no admin interface on the GPL version.

I have found http://atfrogs.berlios.dewhich is a web based admin tool.  However I have not bee able to get it working.  Has anybody else tried this?

Note: Currently NO interface to add/edit users present

Seems a bit pointless then?

I'll have a look at compatibility with my panel..

Well I really don't know anything about browser plugins, so I can't help you there.

There are some questions which come to mind looking at this contrib:
You realise you only need postgresql, postgresql-server and postgresql-jdbc? (In my experience, anyway)
Have you found a legal way to distribute Java?
What about the source? I mean, the openldap source rpm, the sme-postgresql source rpm, and the actual source, not the source rpm containing precompiled files, for sme-openexchange?

Anyway, great job, and good luck with the extension.

here the big problem but i d'ont modify in anyway the java sdk i have only packaged to work with sme :(

the sources for openldap and all i have made was going in my site today, but for the openexchange i have made only by the normal way of the open-xchange.org i have only make the packaging and some minor stuff to work with sme.
