Hi All !
I'm making a backupsystem using usb-drives and rsync. It works okay, but the motherboard uses a sis730 chipset and has only usb 1.1. As the data-amount is nearly 26Gb it takes forever to move the data. Does sme6.0.1 support any usb 2.0 cards as is ? Or do I have to change motherboard, kernel or something else ?

Found another motherboard (asus A7V400)installed SME6.0.1-01. SME does apparently support usb2 as is.

Yes. I have installed VIA6212 PCI=>USB 2.0 board and run ok.
Execute "kudzu" to autodetect your new board. If all ok, select "configure".

Hi there .
I was thinking more about the backup2USB sollution..
I already have USB 2.0 support on the "BOX" but want to hear about the backup thing..
As far as I have read here in this forum there has been a lot af posts saying Backup2USB is not possible or am I wrong..
Could someone pls point to a kind of "Guide" archiving this.
I was thinking of something like the Backup2WS saving on local mounted USB drive instead of saving to another network drive.
