Title: problem with time & tapeware
Post by: jmvelez on September 19, 2005, 02:00:19 AM
I have found that everytime the server makes a backup with Tapeware the clock is off (more or less the same time it takes to make a backup).  Over the weekend with no backup the time stays correct.   It is off almost 2 hours everyday.

The server is getting the time from pool.ntp.org.

The hardware clock is correct.  WE changed the motherboard and batteries before and the problem continues.  I found out that the time is lost during the backup period.

So if the HW clock is correct, why don't you just run:

hwclock --hwtosys

after the backup so that the system clock is correct?
