Title: AMD Sempron
Post by: p-jones on September 29, 2005, 02:42:25 AM
Any one got any experience of using an AMD Sempron to run SME ?

I am running it on a 2800 and notice the CPU is maxing with things like a CLAM SCAM.

I have another box running SME 6.01 with a 1Ghz CELERON and it never peaks higher than about 25% and it is doing heaps more work. (Open Xchange, Webmail, Gateway, LAN Postoffice etc..)

Both System Boards are SIS Based

It works very well !

Those specs are same as here except for the Raid. How do the CPU stats look in the system monitor ?

The performance seems OK on the test bench but the maxing of the CPU surprises me.
