Title: Samba logs with user's activity
Post by: comet on October 13, 2005, 09:56:45 PM
I have searched up and down and noticed some topics about this, but not what I need.
I'm testing 6.01 and 6.5RC1, samba 2 and samba 3 specifically.
According to this http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/samba/chapter/book/ch09_01.html I can turn on logging for each machine that logs in.
1-I have modified the template on SME so that if reads as the manual:
log file = %m.log and not as SME implies: log file = log.%m
2-I have tried Log Level =1 and UTMP=Yes

How can I make this work, or what am I doing wrong?

I too was looking for this solution, I've been using smbstatus but something to keep a record-of would be perfect. Add no concurrent logons and I'll be gold.
