Title: Move Passwords to new server
Post by: ctenc31 on October 15, 2005, 02:12:17 PM
I had to move my data to a new server.  My old one has a disk that is going bad (bad sectors).  I am unable to clone the disk (ghost 8 cant deal with the bad sectors, it stops working about 20 mins into the clone).  I used lazy admin toolkit to move the domains, users, ibays to the new machine.  I have moved all of the data in the ibays to the new machine.  I need help on the following:

1.  Move the user passwords to the new machine.
2.  Move the sql databases to the new machine.
3.  Move the security certificate to the new machine.

Right now, the user accounts show "Locked".  I still have access to the data on the old drive, it has not completely failed.

Any help is welcome.  Thanks

I need the same answer.
I just did the same thing, and have the same issues, all accounts locked.

I have been looking at the same kind of move. Searching turned up this "http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=23671.msg94451#msg94451". Looks like it should work.
