cpan2rpm & CPAN how do these two work together in sme 7
When the command perl -MCPAN -e shell is activated, it goes through the configuration process if it hasn't been setup yet, then ask for manual configuration
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/CPAN/Config.pm initialized.
CPAN is the world-wide archive of perl resources. It consists of about
100 sites that all replicate the same contents all around the globe.
Many countries have at least one CPAN site already. The resources
found on CPAN are easily accessible with the CPAN.pm module. If you
want to use CPAN.pm, you have to configure it properly.
If you do not want to enter a dialog now, you can answer 'no' to this
question and I'll try to autoconfigure. (Note: you can revisit this
dialog anytime later by typing 'o conf init' at the cpan prompt.)
Are you ready for manual configuration? [yes]
Every thing goes straight forward until it ask for
Where is your ncftget program [ ]
where is this on sme 7 or something similare
compiling perl files downloaded by cpan, is this where cpan2rpm or do i just accept all defaults when prompted
Or where can i find perl modules for sme 7, does anyone of some good links

cpan2rpm & CPAN how do these two work together in sme 7
Basicly, they don't. SME 7 is a workgroup server, not a development system. It doesn't have any development tools, including cpan2rpm.
We recommend CentOS 4.1 as a development workstation.

I don't think there is a jhead package from CentOS, I've rebuilt one from .src file
