Title: No "create startup disk" option in sme 7 so cant b
Post by: jc021179 on October 17, 2005, 01:49:20 AM
I have a compaq proliant 800.
This system is equipped with an ide controller to which i have a cdrom and 20gb hd attached. The problem is that the system does not boot from a hard disk on this controller.

I had been running sme 6 and booting the syetem using the recovery disk created during the install but this option was not available when installing sme7.

Is there any way to create such a disk? I copied the /boot directory from the sme6 install to a workstation if this is any use, also i have a bootable scsi hard disk but its only 1gb.

Any ideas??

Cheers,
JC
