Title: php discussion board confusion
Post by: xandersen on October 31, 2005, 02:44:52 PM
Hmm, can anyone out there give me a step-by-step how-to for setting up a phpbb2 discussion board using mysql and php.  I dont know much about linux commands and scripting, so I would most probably need a web user gui or something of the like so I can administer it.

I have been experimenting with several different linux distributions and Mac Os X and I just cant get the mysql to work.  I have no idea what the problems are, so I as I speak, I am installing a fresh copy of SME version 6, and I was wondering if anyone could walk me through it.

Thanks for any and all help!

you can either put PHP nuke (or any type of portal) in an ibay.

or you can search. it took me about 20 seconds to find it.

Thanks, I think I will go over to php-nuke instead.

another newbie question, I suppose..

when I log in via ftp as root, I cant seem to find the ibay directories..  can you access them as root? anf if you can...whats the path to them?

Thanks
