hi!
great product. didn't run into a prob during the entire install... except for when i tried to access the administrator's folder via SMB.
when i log onto an NT client logged on as "admin" i can make changes to the admin folder and Primary folder on my e-smith machine, but i can't when i'm logged in as "administrator". I added a user named "administrator" on e-smith with the same password as the NT machine. The "administrator" folder is viewable through network neighborhood, but if i try to get into it, an error occurs: \Serveradministrator is not accessible. The network name cannot be found.
I've poking into the e-smith box through telnet, and there is an administrator folder with all the goodies inside. i can put stuff in there from the telnet console, just not through an outside FTP or samba. what's the problem?, and how do i fix this?
How can i get my esmith server toredirect the root as "administrator" instead of "admin", so i can view it from my NT box?
Thanks!

There's not way to do what you want using standard e-smith server features.
You will need to log into the server and make some customisations to the system. There is documentation at http://www.e-smith.org/custom/ to help you do that. Look at the samba documentation, specifically the man page for smb.conf. You can see that on the web at http://www.samba.org/ or on your server, after logging in, using:
man smb.conf
I think the feature "username map" is what you are looking for.
