Is there a command to change the password complexity requirements?

What version are you asking about?

Do you want more or less complex?

im using the SME server 7.0 beta.
i need less complex passwords. this is going to be a server on a private network so security isn't a big issue. all I really need to do is turn off the dictionary lookup during password creation/reset.

You can reset passwords from the workstation in SME 7x and it appears to work fine so long as the user has a profile on the server (ie: has logged in and out previously).

Just set a default password for all users on the server and then give the 3 finger salute from a logged in workstation and click on change password. You can then set it to anything you want.

Howdy,

I think you guys should take a look at the WIKI FAQ.  Scroll down a bit and you'll see some information about passwords strength:

  I hope this helps.
