Title: Intel PRO1000/GT 82541PI Gigabit Ethernet Controller
Post by: dilligaf on November 12, 2005, 04:37:25 PM
SME 6.0.1
I normally use, and the system detects the Intel PRO1000/MT (82540EM) Gigabit Ethernet Controller no problem.

My vendor accidently shipped me the Intel PRO1000/GT 82541PI Gigabit Ethernet Controller.
I can not find a drived to make it work.
Has anyone used these and found a driver?
I would like to avoid he hassle of sending these back if they will work.

We ran into the same problem a while ago and could not find a driver for 6.x so we decided not to use those cards for the moment.

I recently tested the card on SME7beta(?) and strangely enough, I could not get it working there either but I want to do that test scenario again before giving up on that.

We have tested this card now on SME7pre1 and everything is looking fine with it. It IS working as expected and I suspect that our testing on the beta version back in November last year was done wrongly.
