Title: PHP with PEAR installed

I have been trying to setup a mysql database to work with squirrel mail, which was all quite straight foward, but when I tried to log back into my sqmail account I got the following error message

Quote

Could not include PEAR database functions required for the database backend.
Is PEAR installed, and is the include path set correctly to find DB.php?
Please contact your system administrator and report this error.

Can anyone help, I am running sme 6.0.1.01

I am guessing that this does not support the PEAR thing, so is there an easy way to upgarde?  

Any suggestions would be great

I have just realised that I am running

PHP Version 4.1.2

I am guessing that this does not include the pear stuff, is there an easy rpm that I can use to upgrade my version of PHP?
