Title: howto measure bandwidth usage

I have a adsl line which has a 7 gig limit. This month I was capped and was wondering if their is a way to monitor the traffic to see what is causing the sent bandwidth to reach 3gigs in one day

install the sysmon contrib (graphical)
and
use iptraf to monitor users

you might also want to look at one of the bandwidth control contribs
