Title: dansguardian java applet problem
Post by: tariqf on November 18, 2005, 10:44:59 PM
I am using sme server with dansguardian and transparent proxy enabled and pointing to dansguardian's port 8080.

Everything works fine except I have a website that uses a java applet- the website fails to load unless I bypass my dansguardian and specify squid port 3128 manually. Then the page works fine.

My problem is I need everyone to be able to use this website but do not want everyone to bypass dansguardian to do so. Any ideas?

If the problem is that dansguardian blocks the site, maybe you could try including the site domain in /etc/dansguardian/exceptionsitelist
Title: Web Content Filter
Post by: xboxer21 on November 19, 2005, 05:57:48 PM
I have installed the DansGuardian RPMs from dungog.net using .....yum install dansguardian smeserver-dansguardian dungog-dansguardian. Everything works fine. But as explained on their web page the web content filter link does not show up on my server-manager page. Is this feature available only for paid members? Or is there something extra I need to do.

Thanks
