Hi, I need to be able to relay email for an external user.
They just have one static ip address eg: 201.21.54.35
I have tried adding it to /etc/tcprules/tcp.smtp,
/var/qmail/control/rcpthosts.
But it still doesn't work.
I am using ver 6.5 of the SME server and I belive this version now has smtp-auth - not sure what this has to do with it ?
Can someone please tell me how to relay for this external ip without opening the box up as a open relay.
Above ip address is only an example and not a real address.
Any help is appreciated

Just enable secure mail in server manager.
I think that contrib was added to 6.5.

Hi, thanks for the reply but I was wrong about the version I am using - it appears this must be an earlier version because it doesn't have secure smtp in available in the server manager panel.
Is there another way I can add an ip address that can relay email ?

If you are running sme 6.0x try the Securemail http://www.pagefault.org/howto/securemail.shtml
listed as part of the sme plus script at http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/SME6.0.1Contribs
Should do what you want.
