Will SME7 act as a DNS server for external DNS requests?

if you're talking about having a public dns for others to resolve then you probably could, but what's the point?

if you're talking about having a local dns to resolve external names then it's already built in automatically.

A few years ago, I put e-smith into about 20 businesses in the UK.  It was expensive and time consuming to outsource DNS management for these servers.

The SME could manage the DNS easily, but I'd rather not  do it by 'hacking' in the functionality as that becomes a pain to manage as well...
