Title: Setup problems w/SCSI drives
Post by: Eric Pedersen on December 04, 2001, 12:41:19 AM
Hello all,

I can't seem to get the installation going on my PC with 2 SCSI drives and an Adaptec 2940U/UW.  The procedure starts and then says it's missing the "/tmp/kickstart.cfg" file.

I've tried it using the boot disks as well, but still no luck.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards,

Eric

Are you doing the RAID1 install?

Just for kicks --- have you tried disconnecting one of the drives?

Hi,

Thanks for the super-fast reply.

At the point it fails, it hasn't even gotten around to asking if I want a RAID 1 install yet.  I'll try disconnecting one of the drives when I re-try the install tonight.

I've booted with the 'boot.img' diskette and all seems to be proceding normally.  Not sure why booting from the CD itself should cause so much trouble.

Oh well - onwards and upwards.
